  • Jaguar Land Rover Invictus Games Driving Challenge – 2014 - 18

    Jaguar Land Rover are a global partner of The Invictus Games and provide the first competition and driving challenge in the Games each year. The challenge features Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles in both on and off-road car control exercises. D3 are proud to work on this exciting and ground-breaking event. Each year we build a dynamic and themed course for both vehicles and help to create a driving arena that is thrilling, competitive and a reflection of the brand and the location. Invictus Games uses the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect for wounded, injured and sick Servicemen, servicewomen and veterans.

  • Jaguar-The Art of Performance Tour

    The Art of Performance Tour has seen Jaguar deliver an ambitious program offering potential customers immersive and first-hand experience of the full Jaguar fleet of vehicles. The tour has visited numerous locations worldwide and has seen in excess of a hundred thousand guests take part in its first year. The Smart Cone system supplied by D3 has been a fundamental part of the tour allowing guests to experience dynamic and immersive vehicle test drives, highlighting all of the qualities of the vehicle in a fun, exhilarating and safe manner.

    Hyundai launched Kona, a 4WD vehicle aimed at the young and adventurous. We fully project managed the logistical side of this vehicle launch with very specific adventure criteria which involved designing a route drive and unique experience for journalists in the heart of North Wales with Snowdon at the focal point. We created a stunning tipi village in the valley of the mountain in November which is no mean feat making sure the journalists were comfortable and warm. As well as a breath-taking driving route the journalists enjoyed remote premium dining experiences the 24 hours, warm fires in the evening and electric blankets at night. This also provided the base camp for the Kona Volcano challenge that followed and was led by our team.

  • Jaguar I-Pace Global launch

    In 2018 D3 helped Jaguar launch the pioneering I-PACE to the worlds press. The 6-week event showcased this first all-electric SUV, demonstrating its extraordinary capabilities through a river wade, vehicle articulation, sand traps and a gravel hill climb. We managed the event logistics; shipping 10 tonne of equipment, liaising with local land owners and government officials in their native language and developing a 2km dynamic off road course. The event attracted over 600 global media and influencers from 36 Counties. Within 1 week of the vehicle embargo lifting, 901 journalistic articles with 134.5 million global reach were released. Visits to the Jaguar I-Pace webpage were up 65% from the previous week and 1.7k social media posts with 256.7 million viewers had been reached around the globe.

    16 Automotive and Lifestyle media were invited by Hyundai UK to the final weekend of the 2014 World Rally Championships. The 2 media groups followed different programmes running simultaneously over the weekend. By using helicopters and Hyundai Santa Fe vehicles we were able to combine a full ride & drive with 7 private viewing areas of the rally to achieve a totally bespoke and unique rally experience. The overnight stay culminated with everybody arriving in the middle of rural Wales at the purpose built Hyundai 'glamping' village. An outstanding evening consisted of health and well-being massage treatments, wood fired hot tubs, a showpiece 'in front of your eyes' 5 course Korean BBQ and some truly excellent Korean Cocktails!

  • Land Rover 2014 Model Year Launch – 2013

    D3 took the lead on this major programme for international motoring and lifestyle media. D3's role included the creative, logistics, production and delivery of the event which saw 34 guests arriving every day over a two week period. A variety of on and off road routes were shaped across France, Germany and Switzerland. Highlights included a unique exhibit celebrating the evolution of the Range Rover, installed amongst one of the world's largest private vehicle collections and a dramatic finale to the event where guests experienced driving down a 110m long, 30° Ski jump in the heart of Germany's Black Forest.

  • Shell Rimula

    Since 2014 we have provided activities to support the Shell Rimula Annual Global promotion. The promotion involves 170 delegates from 28 different countries coming to a destination for 3 to days to enjoy a break and also learn more about the Shell Rimula Heavyweight Motor Oil. D3 have produced the activity days to showcase the capability of the oil as part of the promotion. Over the last 4 years delegates have driven and completed tasks using HGVs, Telehandlers, Racing Trucks, Excavators, Tractors, HIABS, Forklifts, Dumpers and Pickup Trucks in a variety of global locations including the Top Gear Test Track, the Hungaroring (Budapest), Milan and Capetown. These hands-on challenges and activities have added valuable content and relevance to the global promotion programme.

    Working with our friends at Crunch Communications we helped deliver the challenges and logistics for a bespoke global driving, expedition competition 'Can you handle the Extreme' for Shell Helix. 180 finalists came to South Africa to put their own driving skills to the test during an immersive and memorable brand experience that reinforced the importance of using premium tier motor oil in extreme driving conditions.

    For the last 3 years we have designed and developed an immersive training event for Land Rover Experience Global Instructors, focused on learning, sharing and developing skills. The event involves a number of engaging and challenging activities that are visual and contain Land Rovers key core competencies. The intense competition between global instructors culminates in an exciting head to head final. The feedback Land Rover Experience has received from the Instructors following these training events is brilliant and for the last 3 years have scored 100% Net Promoter for this initiative.

Having gained years of experience running expedition based events such as Camel Trophy and The Land Rover G4 Challenge we have the in house expertise to lead or support vehicle based expeditions to the remotest parts of the globe with all the logistics and permissions required.

  • Land Rover Silk Road Expedition - 2013

    D3 provided logistical, operational and medical support on a project which saw three prototype Hybrid Electric Range Rovers complete the final stage of their engineering development by embarking on an overland expedition from the UK to Mumbai. Throughout the expedition, media guests would join for a short leg of the journey to record the progress of the vehicles.

  • Land Rover Journey of Discovery – 2012

    D3 provided supporting expertise throughout the overland expedition taking the one millionth produced Land Rover Discovery straight from the factory in Birmingham to the International Motor Show in Beijing.
